Rodin FZED live at Donington!
All the way from Mt Lyford to Donington!
On Tuesday July 6th, Liam will drive the amazing Rodin Cars FZED at the British circuit where Rodin Cars are establishing a base and showroom.
This will be the first time the FZED is driven in the Northern Hemisphere and selected media and guests will watch demonstration laps and be able to get ‘up close and personal’ with the car.
Donington Park is a motorsport circuit located near Castle Donington in Leicestershire, England. The circuit business is now owned by Jonathan Palmer’s MotorSport Vision organisation, and the surrounding Donington Park Estate, still owned by the Wheatcroft family, is currently under lease by MotorSport Vision until 2038. It has a capacity of 120,000.
Opened in 1931, it hosted a single Formula One race in 1993, but became the favoured home of the British round of the MotoGP motorcycling championship.

The current lap record of 1:17.707 on the longer 4.020km circuit is held by Japanese driver Kimiya Sato in a Auto GP car (Euro Series 3000) set in 2013. On the shorter 3.149km track, the lap record is held by a BOSS GP car - Benetton B197 - driven by Marijn van Kalmthout in 2011 - 57.221-seconds.
What time will the Rodin FZED record?
In order for Liam to drive the Rodin FZED we needed clearance from the FIA, as rules stipulate that a driver cannot drive a comparable power-to-weight ratio car during an F2 season as this is considered testing. The Donington programme was submitted to the FIA - approximately 10 demonstration laps - and it was duly authorized.
